All access and egress to the site are clearly defined and segregated by the landscaped islands. The approach to the Hotel premises is through the existing 3 m wide service road. Drop off porch is provided for the hotel guests near the main entrance. Separate service lane on the western side, with an independent entry and exit is provided to connect directly to the back of house areas, thus segregating public areas from the services.
Vehicular movement: Two one-way ramps (4.2m wide) in the front set back have been provided in one way circulation pattern to and from the basement.
6m clear space is maintained on the north, east and western sides of the building; and 3.6 m clear on the southern side for fire tender movement.
The hotel is designed as a star hotel with 252 keys and amenities like coffee shop, meeting rooms, business library, fitness centre, executive lounge, swimming pool, whirlpool etc. The building is a V shaped plan that allows proper utilization of site and encloses a landscaped area around which the guest rooms and public areas are planned to get a good view and privacy.
The basement floor accommodates service areas and parking spaces. This floor accommodates spaces for HVAC, MCC Rroom Housekeeping, laundry and employee facilities. The remaining area is dedicated for parking and driveways. The floor is accessed to and from ground level with ramps, staircases & lifts.Parking angle is at 90 deg and it offers the best in terms of efficiency
The main entrance leads to the spacious lobby, which is flanked by lounge and front office on one side and coffee shop on the other. All these public spaces and fitness centre on the ground floor, along with guest rooms above, are arranged around a landscaped deck, with maximum glazing area. Swimming pool and whirlpool is located on the deck close to the fitness centre. Front office and administration are placed close to each other. This space is connected to the employee areas in basement through a separate service elevator. Main guest elevator is placed in sight of front desk and grouped together for maintenance and construction economy. Separate Toilet facilities are planned for coffee shop, lounge, fitness centre and administration. Location is such that it is sited discretely adjacent to the corridors. Back of house areas like kitchen, receiving and disposal are planned on the rear side of one of the wings, where they can be accessed by a separate service road and connect to all the levels through service lifts. The receiving and disposal are planned with a common loading/ unloading space. Engineering, Maintenance and store is planned in the rear side of the other wing and is connected to the basement through a service lift. AHU Rooms, Electrical services like Main L.V Rooms, Electronics Room, , L.V. Panel Rooms, etc are also located on the ground floor
Guest rooms with attached toilets occupy the first and second floor level. This location provides segregation from public activities, elevated views and greater security. The layout is efficiently planned as double loaded corridors with rooms on both sides. There is an executive guest lounge placed on the first floor facing the prime view of landscaped deck. Guest corridor is planned for 1.8 m minimum width. The floor height of 3.415 m clear, is proposed.
The Sierra hotel is designed as a 5 star rated hotel, with 252 rooms and fringe facilities like coffee shop, lounge, business library, meeting rooms, fitness centre, executive lounge, swimming pool etc. The proximity of the site to the SUKHADIYA CIRCLE STATUE and Close to the lake, the building is designed as a high rise horizontal structure with a height of 85 M. The Mean Sea Level of the site is 583 m
